We listen, act, and transform
I have been working in mental health since 2008, initially as a mental health case manager then later as a substance abuse counselor before graduating from University of Phoenix and becoming a therapist in 2014. I primarily worked in an outpatient community mental health clinic with individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness and substance abuse as well at an on-call crisis triage unit for individuals with at-risk of higher level of care until moving to a federal detention facility assisting detainees with moderate to severe mental illness. Since 2018, I have been working on various telehealth platforms including Talkspace, Ginger, Modern Health, Path Mental Health and Octave.
My specialities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (trauma), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression/Anxiety, SafeTalk for Suicide Prevention, LGBTQ+, Couples, and mood disorders.
I like to allow individuals to follow decisions while also providing feedback, outcomes and adapting to change when necessary for best case outcomes. Being able to give consultation and receive constructive feedback when matters need to be addressed along with praise and recognition for quality of work demonstrated by individual's work ethics. Also allowing others to handle issues by delegating responsibilities when appropriate to problem-solve and work collaboratively as a team effort to reach personal and company goals.
